About Keener Electric Motors, Inc.

Carl E. Keener developed an interest in electric motors while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1962, the Colebrook, Pa., native borrowed money from a friend to buy a small building and established Keener Electric Motors, Inc., in Lebanon.

In 2019, Bill Weidman, a 25-year veteran of the electric motor industry, purchased the company from Carl’s sons, Jeff and Dave. With an extensive background that includes working in field services, Bill is dedicated to upholding the same commitment to quality workmanship and service associated with Keener Electric Motors since its inception.

Today, Keener Electric Motors is the oldest Lafert Metric Motors distributor in the United States and continues to carry the largest Lafert Metric Motors inventory in the northeast. Submersible pump sales and repairs for the sewage treatment industry are prominent activities. Myers, Hydromatic, and Wilo pumps are among the company’s extensive product lines.
